Kev and I decided he should take the whole summer off of school.

YAYAYAYAYAY!!

It's a whole different type of life at our house. I LOVE IT! Honestly, I don't know how in the world I would have got through these last few months without him.

He's my hero. Like when I need someone to take out the wasps on the roof...

and Drew;s wannabe. Kev's got a whole new shadow these days...



He makes us the best food! Mornings with waffles and cream, dinners of the best BBQ pinapple and chicken ever. No wonder I've been putting on a few....

He does all those things that I want to get done, but just can't ever do. And he does such a better job than I ever could do alone. Like making this garden for example ... you should see the veggies we're already getting out of here . . .

I never get tired of his smiles, hearing him laughing in the next room, or being winked at...he's the best friend I've ever had. . .

The one about Kelly Clarkson!

Ora and I took our girls to the KELLY CLARKSON concert. It was absolutely a BLAST! We were super close to Kelly. A few times Kelly looked over to see Halle and Bailee singing their hearts out with her, and she would smile and wave at them. Halle was beyond happy. What a perfect night!

I ran into my old friend, Emily! It's been a while since High School!

The one about swim lessons

I put the kids in swimming lessons this summer. They loved it!

We got Drew and Cache into the same swim class. It was so fun watching the two of them. I'm pretty sure they both had a crush on their teacher, Amber. lol. I'm glad they got to spend some time together before CACHE's FAMILY MOVES! AHH! I'm heart sick about it. Drew's little best buddy is moving! :(

We will miss you little Cache man! Visit us lots!

Halle's first dance recital

A few years ago, when Halle was having constant seizuress, things she once loved suddenly became overwhelming to her. It broke our hearts- not knowing what kind of future our daughter would have, or if she would be able to do the things she loved. Her dance lessons, in particular, were a HUGE struggle. Thanks to her amazing dance teacher, Andrea, we were able to continue going (almost) every week- trying to keep some kind of normality in her turned-upside-down life. It was really hard, but we did it.

Then, the seizures stopped, and within a few weeks she had her first dance competition. She danced her heart out. I have never been so proud in my life. I cried the whole day, completly overwhelmed with gratidute that our Halle was back.

Now, two years later, she's still dancing. I know I'm a baby about it, but it still makes me cry.

Every time.
